christmas magic

christmas eve jammies!

santa wrapped our front room for us!!

pure magic. the look on millie's face was everything i had hoped for.

the girls were spoiled rotten and i can't deny that i loved every minute of it. amelia had been "test-driving" cars all summer and fall and we decided that a two-seater should be on her list. it took a while for amelia to get the hang of driving, but now she drives herself and her sister to the splash pool all the time!

jer spoiled me with the entire harry potter set, my favorite chocolates, and a giant clock for the family room.

and of course j, my hunkaburninlove, plowed our neighbors' sidewalks and driveways. always the best example, always serving others. i got a little teary thinking about how blessed i am to have such an christlike husband.

christmas is so magical with children. i'm so grateful that i only had to work minimally this holiday and was able to spend it with family. my heart was so full!

church was a blur, but a comment made about the sacrifices and burdens our bishop makes and carry touched me. i've always sustained my bishop, and i've always had faith that they have the keys to revelate about us and our needs. i'm grateful for every bishop of every ward i've ever had.

from my notes:
elder nelson: be patient with yourself-- don't be too demanding, but demand improvement.

clarian sounding:
a priesthood holder going inactive is a big deal, but a mom going inactive is losing generations.

we're here to lead and teach babies to be close to Christ

it's not a coincidence that women are endowed with certain attributes to raise children.

1 nephi 8: 11-15

we focused on 10 miracles in jesus' life and tried to truly remember the reason for the season.

thanksgiving 2015

the girls made these shirts with their cousins for a storytime i organized... and i thought they turned out pretty darling. so happy i didn't have to work this thanksgiving-- we spent lunch with my parents and dinner with jer's parents. we also had thanksgiving lunch on friday with the extended bodtcher side.

we started a thankful tree the first of november and wrote down one thing we were thankful for every day leading up to thanksgiving. man, we are so blessed. some of my hands said: my freedom, comforts of living in a first world country, financial security, my education and career, health and modern medicine, a loving God, so many good examples to follow, jeremy and my babies.
