we loved the murray parade bright an early with the bodtchers! it's a little bittersweet how grown up they are and how much they enjoy and understand holidays and traditions. hashtag: weird mom feelings.

we ended the night with fireworks by the temple. it made our whole night that i got a 12 hour cancel from work, and got to spend the whole night with my family. we brought popcorn and fries and frosted lemonade from chick-fil-a, and the girls oohed and ahhed as the night got darker. i just felt so blessed being in those quiet moments with my family. i remember independence day evening being one of the few happy memories from 2015, and i cherished it even more in 2016. feeling so grateful for that day, and for our veterans and our amazing country.
